Junior Tournaments

The Totally Tennis tournament programme is an extensive programme of events, designed mostly to provide squad players with a range of competitive oppourtunities for all abilities

The Champions and Mini Race

The race is a series of tournaments that you may enter and for each tournament you will collect points dependant on where you finish. The points that you collect will then be entered into a league. There will be one tournament each month, with the eight highest league placed players competing in the Grand Finals in Nov. The Mini race is for players playing mini tennis and the Champions Race for older players on a full court.

Who are they for?

The Champions Race is aimed at those in A, B, C and Tournament squads. The Mini Race is for players who are in Dodgers or Giants squads.

What is the Mini Race?

Through mini tennis competitions, we are trying to give younger players a positive and exciting introduction to tennis. The tournaments are the first step on the competitive ladder; matches are shorter and played on smaller courts with either sponge, low compression or mid balls. Team games will also be part of the event to ensure that the occasion will be fun.

What is the format of the Races?

The Champions race will be one or two set matches and will last approximately four hours. The Mini race will be tie- break format and will last two hours. The length of each tournament will depend on the number of entries, please check with the coach on the day for an approximate finishing time.

What other Tournaments will there be?

We will also run special competitions based around fun themes, such as the Giants/Dodgers challenge, Parent and Child doubles tournaments. Our annual club tournament will be played during the summer as a postal tournament (where players arrange their own matches by a certain date).

Doubles Race:

The Mini Doubles Race is for players who are in Giants & Dodgers and the Champions Doubles Race is for those in A B C & Tournament squad.

Parent & Child:

This tournament is a chance for Parents (or other family members) to dust off their rackets and play with the younger members of the family against other family pairs as doubles pairs - previous events have proved to be good fun!

Davis Cup:

This is a fun doubles tournament where players will enter with a partner representing a country against other teams.
